Who collects the most apples
Materials:
Pieces of paper scrunched up into balls and possibly a blind for the eyes.
Instructions:
The paper balls (apples) are randomly placed in a marked area. The students are in pairs and one of them has a blind on. Their partner has to guide the blinded student around the area to collect as many apples as possible until all the apples are gone. The activity can be done in the students’ native language but there are opportunities for developing foreign language skills e.g. ‘walk- turn right- stop- pick up the apple’.
Variation:
The activity can also be done without ‘apples’ where the blinded student is led around the room. The blinded student can then be asked to take off their blind and same some of the things that they see e.g. ‘I see a table’.
