Instructions:

The students have to write on the blackboard or on a piece of paper which is hanging on the wall. The students are divided into groups and stand in rows 3 meters from the board. The teacher says an academic question/theme from which the students brainstorm all of the ideas, terminology and concepts that they can imagine. When the first student has written something they pass on the chalk/pen to the next in the row etc. The activity stops when the given time is up. If the groups compete against each other be aware that they should not be able to see each other’s ideas. Each group is allowed to speak internally. The activity is ideal for sharing knowledge and academic reflection. The academic areas could be the food pyramid (home economics), Brazil (geography), the circulatory system (physical education, biology), Islam (religious education), The EU (social studies), modern art (art) etc.
